Ridney AKA Paul 'Ridney' Richards got his first break in 1997 when a young James Zabiela heard one of his mix tapes and asked him to regular slot for him at a local night in Southampton. This quickly grew his profile and Ridney was asked by numerous Uk promoters for guest appearances growing his profile further.

Production started in 2000 when Ridney teamed up with Ben Rush under the name Eivissa Soul (AKA Bass Junkies) and had a minor Ibiza hit in 2001 with 'Music 3 Ur Ears'.
Ridney has since had releases on Con Brio (Owned by Paul Farris of Fourfour / Defected) titled 'Scarpi' and collaborated successfully alongside Tom De Vos and Adam Falker on numerous occassions.

In 2006 a collaboration with Paul Nichol under the guise Peppe Le Funk releasing 'Le Funk Supernova' which gained regular Radio 1 air play, solid support within the house scene and partly crossing over into the Garage scene! The exposure also led to him having a guest mix aired on Radio 1 courtesy of the Trophy Twins. |
Ridney continues to gig and remix well into 2007 with a packed schedule and demanding diary for remix duties. these include Lenny Fontana, Groove Invaderz, Bushfire, DJ Tekin, Henchmen and Alexanna to name but a few!!!
Ridney is also the south coast representative and resident for Reelgroove events on the south coast of England.
